Safety

Security Cameras:  To enhance safety within the school campus, security cameras have been deployed extensively, covering every classroom, corridor, and the entire school premises, including school buses. These camera systems empower school administrators to promptly address incidents, uphold discipline, and provide a heightened sense of security to both students and staff.

Security Guards:  Security guards at Harvest play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for students, staff, and visitors. Their presence helps deter potential threats and provides a reassuring presence. They monitor access points, respond to emergencies, and enforce school policies to ensure a peaceful and conducive learning atmosphere. Beyond their security responsibilities, they often serve as friendly faces, fostering positive relationships with students and contributing to the overall well-being of the school community.

Bus Tracking System:  A bus tracking system at Harvest ensures the safety and efficiency of student transportation. This technology allows parents and school authorities to monitor the real-time location of buses, ensuring that students are picked up and dropped off on schedule. In case of delays or emergencies, it provides a means to quickly respond and keep parents informed.

Sports

Children today spend less than half the time playing outdoors that their parents did and are less likely to spend time outdoors at school. They are growing up in an increasingly indoor, sedentary and virtual world, ever more divorced from the real world around them. This has a significant impact on their physical health, emotional wellbeing, social competence and their connection with the natural world and their local communities.

The best place for children to enjoy the outdoors, learn about the natural world and take vigorous exercise on a regular basis is in the school grounds. Playing and learning outdoors can improve muscular strength, co-ordination, balance, dexterity and aerobic fitness. Children can burn as many calories in an active outdoor play session. Enjoying the outdoors in childhood leads to a greater use of the outdoors for active recreation in childhood and later life.
